Palatset

A HOUSE FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THE NATION’S MOST IMPORTANT THINGS

Palatset (the Palace) will become Sweden’s national stage for children’s culture. A unique and magical house where time has stood still since 1891. The old National Archives at Riddarholmen in Stockholm is transformed into a culture palace for all Sweden’s children. The Palace is large – eight floors and 5000 square meters filled with the greatest culture and most exciting experiences for anyone from six to fifteen to a hundred years old. Our watchword is togetherness. The Palace will open its doors in 2011.

A contract has been signed with the National Property Board (SFV) and the two-year renovation has begun. SFV is working to get all necessary decisions from authorities and government agencies in place. This spring, the façade will receive a long-awaited restoration.

The Palace is currently recruiting a Chairman of the Foundation. Recommendations for good board members are welcomed.

In collaboration with Doberman, we have begun construction on a large interactive experience on palatset.se. A website filled with tools for creativity, experiences and real influence. Here you can visit and be a part of the Palace even outside the walls of the physical building. Premiere during 2010.
